Montefegatesi
Located at 842 metres above sea level, it is the highest village of the entire municipality.
It can be reached via two roads: the first starts from the main town and goes up towards Corsena; the second starts at Ponte a Serraglio and goes through Granaiola, Pieve di Monti di Villa and Monti di Villa.
Montefegatesi appears to be on a rocky spur when you first see it.
Its name seems to derive from the liver-coloured clay found in large quantities in the area, while others claim that it comes from the Fegana stream on which Montefegatesi lies and that it was originally Montefeganese.
